Delight Yourself in “Ancient” Paris

Paris is not only a romantic city, but also an ancient one. If you are interested in ancient places of interest, you must pay a visit to the following places, or you will regret to go to Paris for your special travel.
Notre-Dame de Paris, which is also a well-known landmark of Paris, is a world-famous medieval Gothic cathedral, and it is famous for its size, age, archeology and the value of architecture. Of course, it is admired by many literary enthusiasts in terms of the novel “Notre-Dame de Paris”. As time passed by, in 19th century, the cathedral had to be rebuilt in terms of the damages so that at present only three large rosettes still maintain the stained glasses of 13th century. And the flying buttress of the back cathedral is particularly vigorous and beautiful.
If you are interested in thinkers in France history, you will never forget to pay a visit to Place de la Bastille. Place de la Bastille is located in the east part of the city of Paris and in the right bank of the Seine; it was originally a military fortress. “Bastille” is a French world which means “castle”. This “castle” was once a royal prison, until 16th century, the so-called castle started to imprison political prisoners, and the great French Enlightenment thinker – Voltaire was once held twice here. In the eyes of French people, the Bastille has become a symbol of France’s feudal autocratic rule; therefore, the day when the French people stormed and captured the Bastille has become the National Day of France.
While le Pantheon is really an art of the history. Le Pantheon is located in the Latin District which is on the left bank of the Seine of the central city of Paris, it is a permanent palace where is built to commemorate the greatest and most famous figures of in the France history. It was originally built as a cathedral in the times of 15th St. Louis. The art decoration in le Pantheon is very gorgeous, beautiful and marvelous. The large-scale murals on its dome are designed by the famous painter – Antoine • Grote.
Musée Grevin is a place you should go, because you will see some kind and famous figures in it. The Musée Grevin is a wax figure museum in Paris; it was built by famous French painter – Gray Van in 1882. The museum is divided into three parts, Wax Museum, Mirage and the Magic Theater, the large number and the wide scale of the works make people stunning and admired. There are wax figure of the heads of all the countries in the world, world-famous film stars, popular cartoon characters such as Spider-man, scenes of significant French historical events such as the French Revolution and the popular films such as “The Matrix” and so on. The figures are sitting or lying, happy or sad; they are made lifelike which can always attract most the visitors.
Just like a castle of ancient times, you will delight yourself in the most charming and gorgeous Paris.
