Nicolas Cage – the Hard-liner

Many people in the world often brag that some of their relatives or friends are rather great and how they benefit from them. I believe when they come to know this man, probably they would rather hope that the earth could open and swallow them up. Because this man never says no to any shortcut. His name is Nicolas Cage.

Cage is very Hollywood male star. I like him a lot the reason of which is that indeed I learn some principles of living this life from him. He was born in a well-to-do family on January 7, 1964 in Long Beach of California, USA. Originally, he studied theatre at Beverly Hills High, but later when he reached 17, he dropped. It seems to me strangely that many famous films stars didn’t finish their study. So did the richest man of the world, Bill Gates. They really couldn’t wait to make money or fame. I admire them a lot.

At the very beginning of his entering the film world, he changed his family name. One thing you should notice is that he is the nephew of the world famous director Francis Ford Coppola. For the reason that Cage didn’t want to use his uncle’s fame to find him some shortcut, he chose to be “nobody” – the hard-liner on his road towards career success. And judged by all the movies he had made, he really achieved his goal.

I should say the best part of Cage that I like is his charming eyes which is also the most obvious feature of all of Cage’s films. His eyes are the windows to his heart. When watching his movies, we should never ignore his eyes, because they could help use to understand the inside feeling of the characters he acted. However, in fact, we could never move our eyes an inch while appreciating his works. And this is where the great charm of Cage lies.

Unlike many other famous Hollywood movie stars who although are very good at performing, yet never got awards of Oscar, Cage won this historic milestone when he was comparatively very young for the movie Leaving Las Vegas (1995). Besides, he also won another 31 different awards and got 30 times’ nominations. Such handsome achievement is really rare in Hollywood. He is doomed to become a legend.

After he succeeded, Cage didn’t forget to help those who have talents in performing, but are new to the world’s audiences. Among those who had received help from Cage at the start of their career, there is Johnny Depp. And later, their friendship also got strengthened. I believe they together set a good example for the world people. Because, recent years, Cage was involved in some kind of financial crisis and Depp offered help.

Cage is also the movie star who had made the most number of movies in Hollywood. He is now 46 years old and he had already made about 50 movies in his career. For this, as a movie fan, I appreciate it a lot. Because of his high productivity, we could enjoy more than one movie of his every year. What an amazing thing!
